In the quiet village of Malihabad near Lucknow, a horrifying crime has stunned locals and
authorities alike. A 14-year-old boy killed his 70-year-old grandmother, Vidyawati, to death
after she refused to give him Rs 500 for perfume and an additional Rs 2,100 for school fees.
The incident occurred late at night, as the two slept in the same room, following a heated
argument over money.
After committing the act, the boy reportedly remained in the room with his grandmother’s
body throughout the night. The next morning, he went to school as usual, attempting to
appear normal and avoid suspicion. The crime only came to light when Vidyawati’s daughter
grew concerned about her mother’s silence and asked a neighbor to check on her. Upon
discovering the lifeless body, the police were immediately informed.
It’s hard to digest the mental state of a young boy who, after killing his own grandmother,
spent the night beside her lifeless body and then calmly went to school the next morning —
as if nothing had happened. The chilling calmness with which he carried on his routine has
left many questioning the emotional and psychological state behind such a disturbing act.
