HBO has unveiled the cast for its upcoming ‘Harry Potter‘ series, introducing Dominic McLaughlin, Arabella Stanton, and Alastair Stout as the new Harry, Hermione, and Ron set to premiere in 2026. After an extensive global search that saw over 30,000 auditions, three young actors have been chosen to portray the iconic trio:
- Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter: A Scottish actor known for his roles in the Sky comedy Grow and the upcoming BBC series Gifted.
- Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger: A British actress who previously starred as Matilda in Matilda: The Musical on London’s West End.
- Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley: A newcomer to the acting scene, with prior experience in advertising campaigns.
Showrunner Francesca Gardiner and director Mark Mylod expressed their enthusiasm for the new cast, stating, “The talent of these three unique actors is wonderful to behold, and we cannot wait for the world to witness their magic together onscreen.”
