Kesari chapter 2 is the successor of the superhit movie Kesari, in which Akshay Kumar was in the lead role and the movie was based on the real-life Battle of Saragarhi in 1897, where 21 Sikh soldiers of the British Indian Army defended a fort against a much larger force of Afghan tribesmen.
Now, director Karan Singh Tyagi comes with the Kesari 2 which is produced by Dharma Productions, Leo Media Collective, and Cape Of Good Films. This movie is based on the real life incident of Jallianwala Bagh massacre also known as the Amritsar massacre, took place on 13 April 1919. In which Britishers killed around 1500 people and 1200 others were injured. Sardar Udham Singh took revenge of this by killing Michael O’Dwyer, head of the administration who order the army to shoot the people.
Akshay Kumar is playing lead role in this movie and playing a character of Justice Chettoor Sankaran Nair, who fought till the end against the British Empire to uncover the brutal happenings of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, which took place in 1919.
